Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on murder attempt against the former wife was completed in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee. Charge was pressed against 44 year-old man.

On August 2, 2018 a call was received from medical center of Stepanavan informing that a resident of Lori, born in 1988, with cut-pierced wounds was taken to them.

On August 2, 2018 a criminal case was initiated in the Police according to the Part 1 of the Article 34-104 and the Part 1 of the Article 147 of RA Criminal Code preliminary investigation of which was conducted in the proceeding of Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee. 30 year-old woman was found the injured party.

In the result of investigatory actions of great volume circumstances, the motive of crime were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of Lori, born in 1974.

Through preliminary investigation of the criminal case it was found out that on the day of the incident by opening the door bolt 44 year-old man entered the former wife's house. Out of jealousy, with the intend to deprive the former wife from life he poured hydrochloric acid he had taken with him in a bottle onto her face and body then stabbed her 7 times on different parts of her body, including vital organs inflicting heavy damage threatening to life and fled.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 44 year-old man according to the Part 1 of the Article 34-104 and the Part 1 of the Article 147 of RA Criminal Code.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to court.
