Charge Pressed against Chairman of “National Agreement” Party Aram Harutyunyan
Within the criminal case investigated in the Division of Investigation of Grave Crimes of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on public calls for violence, publicly justifying or preaching violence charge was pressed against the Chairman of “National Agreement” party Aram Harutyunyan.
We remind that a video entitled “Nikol, you changed our textbooks and holidays” had been published in “Youtube” in which calls on justifying apparent violence were made by the Chairman of “National Agreement” party Aram Harutyunyan.
On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against Aram Harutyunyan according to the Part 1 of the Article 226.2 (public calls for violence, publicly justifying or preaching violence) of RA Criminal Code.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
