Charge Pressed against Chairman of “National Security” Party Garnik Isagulyan
Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on making public calls for apparent violence by the Chairman of “National Security” party is ongoing in the Division of Investigation of Grave Crimes of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.
On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against G. Isagulyan according to the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 333 (false crime reporting) and the Part 1 of the Article 226.2 (public calls for violence, publicly justifying or preaching violence) of RA Criminal Code.
A motion was submitted to court to choose detention as a pretrial measure against him; it was rejected.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
