In the framework of the criminal case investigated in the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee charge was pressed today for murder of 48 year-old man. The rifle which was the crime tool was found.  

It was earlier informed that on October 3, 2017 the resident of Noragavit S. Avagyan, born in 1969 was taken to medical center with a firearm injury on the abdomen. On the morning of October 4 he died without regaining consciousness.

In the result of investigatory and operative-searching measures of great volume conducted in the framework of the criminal case initiated in the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee the person having committed the alleged crime was identified, his relation with the victim, the motive of murder were found.

According to data of preliminary investigation the 46 year-old resident of Yerevan fired towards S. Avagyan and inflicted him bodily injury incompatible with life from inside his car. Through inspection a capsule of 7.62 mm was found in his car of “Mini Cooper” make. Necessary samples were taken and forensic examinations were commissioned.

An investigatory experimentation was conducted in the presence of 46 year-old man during which he presented a rifle of “TT” model without a factory number with 5 bullets and said that he had fired towards the victim with the mentioned rifle.

On the base of the evidence obtained through preliminary investigation on October 6 charge was pressed against him according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code. The investigator of the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district submitted a motion to court to choose detention as a pretrial measure against the defendant.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing, measures are taken to find all circumstances, to provide the objective, complete and comprehensive investigation of the case.
