Within the framework of the criminal proceeding investigated in Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee investigative and procedural actions are conducted to find out circumstances of theft committed at knifepoint by a group of people from the ATM located in Armavir settlement.
 

On January 8, 2023 at about 04:30 a report was received from a citizen informing that masked persons at knifepoint stole money from the ATM situated in front of “Armavir” store.
 

A criminal proceeding was initiated in Armavir Regional Investigative Department according to the Points 3, 5 and 6 of the Part 2 of the Article 252 of RA Criminal Code.
 

During preliminary investigation it was found out that on January 8, 2023 at about 04:30 5 masked persons tried to steal the ATM situated in front of “Armavir” store located in Street 1 of Armavir settlement. During that time the employee of the shop approached them and tried to prevent the crime committal. One of those having committed the alleged crime tried to stab him then hit him with a foot on his groin after which took him away at knifepoint meanwhile the others breaking the ATM with a crowbar stole money and left.
 

During preliminary investigation inspection of the scene was conducted, forensic medical, forensic merchandising expertise were commissioned. The inquest body was assigned to take operative-intelligence measures.
 

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. All necessary measures are taken to find those having committed the alleged crime, to find out all circumstances of the case.
 

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
