Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on banditry committed against the employee of the specialized shop of combined food was completed in Vagharshapat Investigative Division of Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

In the result of investigative and other procedural actions as well as necessary measures taken jointly with the RA Police employees all circumstances of the case were found out.

Pursuant to factual data obtained through investigation, on July 27, 2021 at about 19:30 53 year-old man, with the intent to steal somebody else’s property by committing banditry, stabbed and hit the employee of the specialized shop of “Combined Food” located in Baghramyan Street, Ejmiatsin on her head and different parts of her body causing numerous bodily injuries. Then he took money in large amount - 880.000 AMD from the cash register of the shop and fled taking the employee’s mobile phone with him.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 53 year-old man according to the Points 2 and 4 of the Part 2 of the Article 175 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was used as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to court.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
