Investigation is conducted in the Investigative Division of Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find out circumstances of causing bodily injury to 8 persons.

On July 28, 2019 at 23:08 and at 23:10 calls were received from citizens in Mashtots Police Division informing that quarrel noise and shots were heard at Davtashen 4^th Street.

On the same day at 23:55 a call was also received from “Armenia” medical center informing that 6 persons with several cut-pierced injuries were taken to medical center.

Another call was received on June 29, 2019 at 00:05 from “Astghik” medical center informing that two persons with cut-pierced wounds were taken to medical center.

A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Investigative Division of Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department according to the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 112 and the Part 4 of the Article 258 of RA Criminal Code. A decision was made by the Head of the Investigative Division of Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts to form an investigatory group and task the conduction of preliminary investigation of the criminal case to the investigatory group.

In the result of urgent investigatory actions and operative-intelligence measures 8 persons who had sustained bodily injuries were identified. They are residents of Yerevan.

Urgent investigatory actions were conducted – inspection of the scene during which blood like traces, broken pieces of glass were found and taken, a number of witnesses were questioned, the clothes of those having sustained injuries at the incident were confiscated.

Forensic medical examinations were commissioned to find out circumstances significant for the criminal case.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Necessary measures are taken to find out all circumstances of the case, to verify the circumstances mentioned in testimonies, to clarify the frame of those involved in the incident, to personalize their actions and to give appropriate criminal legal assessment. Relevant subdivisions of the police were given instructions.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
