Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on 20 year-old man’s murder was completed in the Investigative Division of Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee. Charge was pressed against 38 year-old resident of Yerevan.

The body of Yerevan resident, born in 1998, was found on the morning of May 17, 2018 burnt and tied with a metal wire, with cut-pierced injuries in the pit on the left part of the second section of the third cemetery of Silikyan district. Through inspection cut-pierced injuries were also found on the neck of the body.

A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Investigative Division of Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code. In the result of necessary investigatory and other procedural actions the real place of murder, the circumstances, the motive were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of Yerevan, born in 1980.

Particularly, through preliminary investigation actual data were obtained on the allegation that the young man had sustained the bodily injuries incompatible with life in the morning of May 16 during the argument over domestic matters in one of the garages located at Malatia-Sebastia administrative district. At first the victim was stabbed on the neck then in order to conceal the crime traces it was taken to the cemetery of Silikyan district where oil and petrol were poured on the body and burnt.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against the man, born in 1980, according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to prosecutor supervising the legality of preliminary investigation.
