On July 23, 2018 the criminal case initiated on abusing official authorities by the officials of “RA National Archive” was received in the proceeding of the Investigative Division of Arabkir administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department.

Pursuant to initial data, using the official position against service interests, breaching the requirements of the Part 3 of the Article 23 of RA Law, pursuant to which in case of availability of appropriate archive documents they are obliged to provide the citizens with archive certificates on social security formulated as prescribed by law or their copies, the appropriate officials of “RA National Archive” set a price list and provided certificates on a paid basis causing significant damage to legal interests of society and state.

A criminal case was initiated in Arabkir Division of the Police according to the Part 1 of the Article 308 of RA Criminal Code. On July 23 the criminal case was received in the proceeding of the RA IC Investigative Division of Arabkir administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department.

Preliminary investigation is conducted, necessary investigatory and other procedural measures are taken to find out all circumstances of apparent abuses in “RA National Archive” SNCO.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
