Forestologist of “Arevik” Branch of “Sevan National Park” SNCO Arrested on Suspicion of Taking Bribe
In the result of necessary investigatory actions conducted in Gegharkunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee a number of circumstances of taking bribe by the forestologist of “Arevik” branch of “Sevan National Park” SNCO were found out. The latter was arrested.
Pursuant to data obtained through investigation the forestologist of “Arevik” branch of “Sevan National Park” SNCO reaching prior agreement with the director of the mentioned branch on ignoring the fact of illegal tree felling at the area of the mentioned branch and not proceeding, as prescribed by law, on May 12, 2019 took bribe from a resident of Vardenis.
On August 15, 2019 the forestologist of “Arevik” branch of “Sevan National Park” SNCO was arrested on suspicion of committing crime envisaged by the Point 2 of the Part 3 of the Article 311 of RA Criminal Code.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
