Investigation is conducted in Kotayk Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find out all circumstances of murder attempt committed against a resident of Yerevan.

Pursuant to initial data, on November 1, 2019 at about 03:00 with the purpose of illegally depriving 29 year-old resident of Yerevan from life, the person having committed the alleged crime pursuing the car of «Lexus es250» make driven by 29 year-old man, on the section of 48 km of Yerevan-Sevan road leading to Tsaghkadzor, got equal to the length of the car of «Lexus es250» make and fired 4 shots towards the latter with a firearm of 9mm caliber kept by him illegally. However, he could not complete the crime under unforeseen circumstances and fled.

A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Kotayk Regional Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 34-104 and the Part 1 of the Article 235.

29 year-old young man and 54 year-old man, who was in the car with him at the moment of the incident, were found the injured party within the criminal case. Inspection of the scene was conducted during which 4 fired bullets of 9mm caliber were found and taken, samples of shots were taken from the injured, forensic chemical, forensic ballistic and forensic trace complex examinations were commissioned, gas pistol with which 54 year-old man had tried to frighten the person having committed the alleged crime was confiscated.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Necessary investigatory and other procedural actions are conducted to find out all circumstances of the case, instruction was given to the relevant subdivision of the Police to take measures to identify the person (persons) having committed the alleged crime as well as to find out the make of the car which pursued 29 year-old young man.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
