Investigation Conducted to Find out Circumstances of Patient’s Death in Medical Center
In the framework of the criminal case investigated in the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee necessary investigatory actions are conducted to find out circumstances of a patient's death in a medical center.
On September 27, 2018 a report was received in Nor Nork Division of the RA Police from a young patient’s mother taking treatment in “Saint Gregory the Illuminator” medical center informing that her son S. Davtyan was in coma for three days because of doctors.
S. Davtyan’s sister told the operative group that on September 22, 2018 her brother was taken to “Saint Gregory the Illuminator” medical center with acute pain in backbone and was accepted for stationary treatment. However, in the result of wrong treatment of the doctors of intensive care unit he has been in coma since September 25.
A criminal case was initiated in Nor Nork Division of the RA Police according to the Part 1 of the Article 130 of RA Criminal Code.
On October 10, 2018 the criminal case was received in the proceeding of the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.
On October 11 S. Davtyan died in “Saint Gregory the Illuminator” medical center. On the same day he was found the victim.
Investigation is conducted, forensic medical examination of the body was commissioned to find out circumstances significant for the criminal case. The disease history of the young man was confiscated from the hospital.
Necessary investigatory and other procedural actions are conducted to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of the case.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
