A criminal case was initiated in Nairi Investigative Division of Kotayk Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on stabbing 4 people.

On December 9, 2018 at 22:30 a call was received in Nairi Division of the RA Police informing that a citizen called and told that there was a crowd of people at the crossroad of Nor Geghi village, they were arguing and one of them had a knife.

On December 10, 2018 at 00:50 a call was received in Nairi Division of the RA Police from “Abovyan” medical center informing that the resident of Kotayk, born in 1980, with “cut-pierced wounds on the lateral surface of the left part of the chest and the right part of the abdomen”, another resident of Kotayk, born in 1976, with “cut wounds of the lower and upper parts of the jaw”, and one more resident of Kotayk province, born in 1977, with “cut-pierced wound on the lateral part of the abdomen” were taken to medical center.  

On the same day at 01:10 information was received from Nor Nork Division of the RA Police that on December 9 at 23:40 one more person – a resident of Yerevan, born in 1992, with “cut-pierced wound on the chest” was taken to “Saint Gregory the Illuminator” medical center. He told that he had been stabbed in Nor Gheghi village by an unknown person.

On December 10, 2018 a criminal case was initiated in Nairi Investigative Division of Kotayk Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code.

Pursuant to initial data, the mentioned people had sustained the bodily injuries during the argument that took place in Nor Gheghi village. They were found the injured party.

In the result of necessary investigatory measures a number of circumstances, the scene were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of Kotayk province, born in 1991.

Through inspection of the scene blood samples, 9 cm long and 1.5 cm wide blade of broken knife and 7 cm long plastic handle of knife were taken.

Forensic medical, forensic biological and forensic criminological examinations were commissioned to find out circumstances significant for the criminal case.

Preliminary investigation is conducted. Necessary investigatory and other procedural actions are conducted to find out all circumstances of the incident, to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation. Relevant subdivision of the police was tasked to take measures to find the person having committed the alleged crime and bring him to the investigative body.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
