Preliminary investigation initiated on murder attempt committed against 32 year-old resident of Vanadzor is ongoing in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee. 58 year-old man who was under persecution was found.

It was earlier informed that with the purpose of illegal deprivation from life, in Batumi Street of Vanadzor the person having committed the alleged crime fired shot with a firearm obtained and kept illegally towards the fellow citizen – the man, born in 1987, on the abdomen causing firearm injury.   

A criminal case was initiated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 34-104 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code. Conduction of preliminary investigation was tasked to the investigatory group.

In the result of a number of investigatory and procedural actions conducted during preliminary investigation a number of circumstances of the case were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is also a resident of Vanadzor, born in 1961. Search was declared against him.

In the result of investigatory actions conducted as well as operative-intelligence and operative-searching measures taken within preliminary investigation the suspect was found and brought to the investigative body.

Charge was pressed against him according to the Point 6 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-104 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code. The investigator submitted a motion to court to reconfirm detention as a pretrial measure against him. It was sufficed.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Necessary investigatory and other procedural actions are conducted to find out all circumstances of the case, to provide the objective, complete and comprehensive investigation.
