On March 24, 2020 a call was received informing that on the same day at about 19:30 at the crossroad of Nersisyan and Arapnya Streets of Vanadzor shots were fired towards two residents of the same town during which one of them was inflicted firearm injury on the frontal part of the abdomen and the left arm, the other – on the back part of the chest.

A criminal case was initiated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-104 (murder attempt) and the Part 1 of the Article 235 (illegal procurement, transportation or carrying of weapons, ammunition, explosives or explosive devices.) of RA Criminal Code.

Through investigation it was found out that the person having committed the alleged crime was also a resident of Vanadzor. During the argument for the purpose of illegal deprivation from life the latter fired shots towards two fellow citizens with a firearm procured by him illegally then drove away.

Urgent investigatory and other procedural actions, including inspection of the scene were conducted during which fired capsules, balls were found.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence a decision was made to involve the latter as a defendant according to the Part 1 of the Article 34-104 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code. Search was declared against him. A motion was submitted to court to choose detention as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
