Materials on demanding bribe sent to SIS

In Internal Security Department of the RA Investigative Committee a call was received on demanding money for termination of the proceeding of the criminal case on rape investigated in Lori Regional Investigative Department.    

By the instruction of the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee examinations were immediately conducted in Internal Security Department. As a result, it was found that on May 6, 2017 a report was received in the Police from a minor resident of Lori region (born in 2000) informing that in the bedroom of their house a resident of the same region had raped her by using violence.  

During preparation of materials the minor girl’s mother told that the boy, who is also minor – born in 2000, had spent the night in her daughter’s bedroom with her permission and denied rape. Pursuant to mother’s statement the minors had had sexual intercourse by mutual agreement.  

A criminal case was initiated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Points 3 and 7 of the Part 2 of the Article 138 of RA Criminal Code and necessary investigatory actions were conducted to find the circumstances of the case, to provide the objective, comprehensive and complete investigation, a number of examinations were committed. The minor girl was found an injured party and her mother – a representative of the injured.

According to the result of forensic medical examination commissioned against the injured data on sexual intercourse were not found, however bruises, scratches were found on the girl’s body, arms. Injuries were also found on the boy’s neck. Samples were taken for comparative examination and complex examination was commissioned the result of which has not been received yet.

During preliminary investigation the injured changed her testimony for several times and the representative of the injured stated that money had allegedly been demanded for terminating the case. During the examination conducted in Internal Security Department the minor girl’s mother insisted that money had been demanded from the boy’s uncle for terminating the case which the boy and his uncle denied in their explanations.  

Considering that there are apparent crime features in the written statement of the representative of the injured the results of initial examinations of Internal Security Department of the RA Investigative Committee were sent to the RA Special Investigatory Service according to investigatory subordination.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
