In the result of investigatory actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case investigated in the Investigative Division of Arabkir administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee a number of circumstances of murder attempt against a minor committed on January 6 were found, the person having committed the apparent crime was identified. Search was declared against the accused.

On January 6, 2016 at 21:20 a call was received from “Arabkir” medical center informing that minor Ghazanchyan, born in 1999, with “numerous cut wounds on the chest and upper limbs” was taken to the medical center from Komitas Avenue.

In the result of operatively taken measures it was found that the minor had been stabbed with a sharp cutting-piercing item on vital parts of his body with the intend of murder in the yard of one of the houses in Shakhsuvaryan Street on January 6, 2016 at about 20:30 during the row erupted on domestic affairs. As a result, the young man was inflicted bodily damages dangerous for life in the form of numerous bilateral cut-pierced wounds on the chest, bilateral hemopneumothorax, penetrating wounds of pericardium and left ventricle, blind and transit numerous wounds of the left lung.

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Arabkir administrative district according to the Part 1 of the Article 34-104 of RA Criminal Code. The person having committed the apparent crime was identified.

On the base of the obtained evidence on January 11 a decision was made to involve S. Muradyan as a defendant according to the Part 1 of the Article 34-104 of RA Criminal Code. On the same day the investigator submitted a motion to the court to use detention as a pretrial measure against him. The motion was sufficed and search was declared against him.

The relevant subdivisions of the police were tasked to take necessary operative-intelligence measures to find the person under persecution. Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
