From 19:00 of 8 December to 08:45 of 9 December, 2020 for the purpose of depriving the executive director of “Armeconombank” OJSC from life in a way dangerous for many people’s life the person having committed the alleged crime fixed an explosive device to the latter’s car of «LEXUS LX 570» make which was parked in the yard of a house on V. Davtyan Street. On 9 December, 2020 at about 08:45 while the driver was driving the car the device exploded. However, the crime was not completed as the executive director of the above-mentioned OJSC was not in the car.

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Arabkir administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Point 6 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-104 (murder attempt) and the Part 1 of the Article 235 (illegal procurement, transportation or carrying of weapons, ammunition, explosives or explosive devices) of RA Criminal Code, an investigative group was formed.

Investigatory and other procedural actions are conducted, instructions were given to the relevant subdivision of the RA Police to find out all circumstances, as well as to identify the person having committed the alleged crime and bring him to the investigative body, forensic examinations were commissioned.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
