Murder Attempt against Relative

On May 24, 2021 at 07:15 a call was received from “Artashat” medical center in Artashat Police Division informing that 67 year-old resident of Artashat with numerous cut-pierced wounds on different parts of her body was taken to medical center.

In the result of taken measures it was found out that the woman had sustained the above-mentioned injuries on the same day at 06:30 in her apartment where her brother’s grandson living with her in the same apartment stabbed her for several times on different parts of her body.

Through inspection of the scene blood-like traces as well as the kitchen knife - the crime tool were found.

A criminal case was initiated in Artashat Police Division on murder attempt preliminary investigation of which is conducted in Ararat Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

The young man was arrested on suspicion of committing murder attempt against 67 year-old woman.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
