Murder in Kapan; Person Arrested
On March 8, 2020 at 02:00 a call was received from Kapan medical center informing that the body of the resident of Kapan with firearm injuries was taken to them.
In the result of urgent investigatory and other procedural actions as well as operative-intelligence measures the person having committed the alleged crime was identified (the latter is also a resident of Kapan town).
He was apprehended and arrested on suspicion of committing murder and gave self-incriminating testimony mentioning that during the argument on personal matters at the bridge of Kapan town he fired two shots from a hunting gun towards the fellow citizen.
A criminal case was initiated in Syunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 (murder) of RA Criminal Code.
Preliminary investigation is under way.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
