Preliminary Investigation of Criminal Case of over Five Years on Infliction of Heavy Bodily Damage Threatening to Life Completed

Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on willful infliction of heavy damage to health was completed in the Department of Investigation of Crimes against Humanity of General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee.

In the result of investigatory and other procedural actions conducted during pretrial proceeding a number of circumstances, the motive of infliction of heavy bodily damage threatening to life to a young man committed years ago were found out.

Thus, through investigation it was found out that on June 1, 2014 at about 22:10 in the yard of one of the houses a row on making a remark erupted between the resident of Nubarashen administrative district of Yerevan – V. A., born in 1992, and another resident of the same administrative district, born in 1992, during which the latter kicked V. A. on the abdomen and scolded.

At the same moment the injured phoned and called his father and brother and 22 year-old young man, being informed that he had told his family members about what had happened and called them, followed him with his friends to clarify interpersonal relations.

As a result, the conversation turned into argument during which 22 year-old man stabbed V. A. on the abdomen with a cutting-piercing item causing heavy damage threatening to life.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against the young man according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. Signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to court.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
