Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on stabbing two brothers in Vanadzor was completed in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee. Charge was pressed against the resident of Lori province.

On August 30, 2018 at about 16:00 a resident of Vanadzor, born in 1993, with a diagnosis of “cut-pierced wound on the left part of the chest”, as well as his juvenile brother, born in 2002, with a diagnosis of “penetrating wound on the left inguinal region” was taken to “Vanadzor Medical Center” CJSC.

A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Lori Regional Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. A plan of investigatory actions and operative-intelligence measures was worked out.

In the result of investigatory and procedural actions of great volume circumstances, as well as the motive of the case were found out.

Pursuant to data obtained through investigation in the meat shop operating in Vanadzor town a row on touching the meat erupted between the shop owner and 28 and 31 year-old residents of Lori province. Hearing the noise 17 and 26 year-old sons of the shop owner came to them after which 28 year-old man willfully stabbed 26 year-old young man on the left part of the chest then the latter’s juvenile brother on the left inguinal region causing them heavy injuries threatening to life.

Then the shop owner, seeing that 28 and 31 year-old men wanted to escape in the car of “BMW” make, out of revenge on them for stabbing his sons willfully hit the car with an axe and broke the back windscreen of the car of “BMW” make which belonged to 31 year-old man.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 28 year-old resident of Lori province according to the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him. Charge was pressed against the shop owner – 53 year-old man according to the Part 1 of the Article 185 of RA Criminal Code. Signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to prosecutor supervising the legality of preliminary investigation.
