Resident of Ejmiatsin Arrested on Suspicion of Stabbing Fellow-Citizen (photos)
In the result of investigative and other procedural actions conducted, as well as urgent measures taken jointly with the employees of the RA Police within the criminal case investigated in Vagharshapat Investigative Division of Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee stabbing committed the day before in Ejmiatsin was disclosed.
The call on the accident was received on January 3, 2022 from “Vagharshapat” medical center informing that a resident of Ejmiatsin, born in 1993, with cut-pierced injuries was taken to the medical center.
During preparation of materials in Vagharshapat Investigative Division of Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee a number of circumstances, among them the scene, the motive were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is 41 year-old resident of the same town.
Pursuant to initial data, on January 3, 2022 at about 23:15 a row erupted between 28 and 41 year-old men on domestic affairs in Ejmiatsin town during which the latter stabbed the young man on different parts of his body causing bodily injuries threatening to life and fled.
A criminal case was initiated in Vagharshapat Investigative Division of Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code.
On the same day 41 year-old man was arrested on suspicion of willful infliction of heavy bodily injury to the fellow-citizen, was questioned and gave self-incriminating testimony.
During preliminary investigation inspection of the scene and investigative experimentation were conducted with participation of the suspect during which the latter pointed out the place where he had thrown the knife which was the crime instrument, samples were taken, confiscations were conducted, forensic medical examination was commissioned.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
