Shots at primary school N 150 after Fridtjof Nansen; criminal case initiated

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Norq administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on the armed incident at primary school N 150 after Fridtjof Nansen.
 

On December 5, 2016 a call was received from the school headmaster informing that shots were fired at school in the result of which the windows were damaged.
 

Through inspection of the site transit holes caused by shots on the front window of primary school N 150 after Fridtjof Nansen and on the window of the gym dressing room of the school were found. Urgent measures were immediately taken to find the circumstances of the case, to identify the persons having committed the apparent crime.  
 

According to initial data, on December 5 at about 13:30 the car “BMW X5” approaching the school was pursued by the car of  “Mercedes” make and the person in “Mercedes” fired shots towards “BMW X5” with a rifle in the result of which the window of the car was damaged. Besides, the shots hit the school windows, as well.
 

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Norq administrative districts according to the Point 6 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-104 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code.
 

In the framework of the criminal case a number of persons, witnesses were interrogated. Forensic trace, forensic ballistic and forensic chemical complex examinations were commissioned.
 

A note was sent to Road Police service of the RA Police to receive the videos captured by the cameras located at the site. Nor Norq Division of the Police was tasked to take necessary operative-searching measures to find the person (persons) having committed the apparent crime, as well as those possibly injured.
 

Additional information on investigation results will be provided.
