A criminal case was initiated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on murder attempt, illegal procurement and keeping of weapon and ammunition.

On October 11, 2018 at 19:05 a call was received from “Vanadzor Medical Center” CJSC informing that G. Navoyan with a diagnosis of “firearm injury on the left leg and right thigh”, G. Davtyan with a diagnosis of “firearm injury on the right shoulder, the right part of the neck” and A. Sedrakyan with “firearm injury on the left foot” were taken to hospital.

A criminal case was initiated in Lori Regional Investigative Department according to the Points 1 and 6 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-104 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code.

Through preliminary investigation it was found out that the mentioned people had sustained the bodily injuries during the same incident.  On October 11 at about 18:00 in front of one of the restaurant complexes of Vanadzor the person having committed the alleged crime fired shots to illegally deprive people from life.

Through investigatory and other procedural actions of great volume it was found out that the mentioned shots had been fired from the car of “VAZ-21074” make with 35 PM 312 plate number in which the person having committed the alleged crime fled from the scene.

On the same day at 18:05 through materials prepared on the base of the call received from Lori Regional Rescue Department of RA Ministry of Emergency Situations data were obtained that at 15/1 Saint Petersburg, Vanadzor a car of “VAZ-21074” make with 35 PM 312 plate number was found burning.  Through inspection of the scene 30 capsules were found in the car and taken.

On October 11, 2018 a criminal case was initiated according to the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 185 of RA Criminal Code.

Considering that conditioned by actual circumstances it is necessary to provide simultaneous comprehensive, complete and objective investigation the mentioned criminal cases were joint in one proceeding.

Urgent investigatory and other procedural actions were conducted to find out all circumstances of the case, about two dozens of people were questioned.

The citizens who had been taken to medical center were found the injured party. Forensic medical and forensic ballistic examinations were commissioned to find out a number of circumstances of the case.

Necessary measures are taken to find the person having committed the alleged crime.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
