Six criminal cases initiated; three – in Yerevan, three – in regions
A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Qanaqer-Zeytun administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on attempt to vote more than once in polling station N 3/22.
Through materials prepared on the base of the report received in the investigative division it was found that citizen M. Martirosyan having participated in voting in polling station N 3/22 with the purpose of voting more than once went to the same polling station, gave his passport to the commission member serving the device registering the voters of the mentioned polling station during which the signal of the identification device went on after which M. Martirosyan left the polling station.
Considering that in the prepared materials there is a reason and base to initiate a criminal case according to the Article 34-153 of RA Criminal Code, a criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Qanaqer-Zeytun administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Article 34-153 of RA Criminal Code. Necessary investigatory actions are conducted to provide the comprehensive and objective investigation of all circumstances of the case. Additional information on the results will be provided.
Let us inform that as of 09:00, April 3, 154 materials on electoral breaches registered on April 2 were received in the RA IC territorial subdivisions on 6 of which criminal cases were initiated, one person was arrested.
The initiated criminal cases refer to attempt of voting more than once. Three criminal cases were initiated in Yerevan, three – in regions.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
