In the result of investigatory actions conducted in Abovyan Investigative Division of Kotayk Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee a number of circumstances of 28 year-old young man’s murder were found out. Two persons were detained.

It was earlier informed that on February 24, 2019 a body of a male with firearm injuries on the chest and the back surface of the lower part of the right wrist was found in the first field of Jrvezh village of Kotayq province.

In the result of investigatory and operative-intelligence measures taken within the criminal case initiated in RA IC Abovyan Investigative Division the body was identified; the latter was born in 1990, registered in Armavir province.

Through preliminary investigation of the criminal case a number of circumstances were found out. Particularly, data were obtained on the allegation that the resident of Vanadzor, born in 1984, and the resident of Ijevan, born in 1989, reached prior agreement on young man's murder, born in 1990.

In order to carry out their criminal intention in January and February, 2019 29 and 34 year-old men took actions for preparation of murder. They frequently visited the residence of 28 year-old man, tried to find out the possible ways to commit murder, as well as the circumstances of his whereabouts and driving.

It was also found out that in February, 2019 the mentioned persons illegally procured, kept and carried a factory production firearm of «CZ 27» model of 7.65 mm and 3 bullets of 7.65 mm caliber. However, they could not complete the crime under unforeseen circumstances as the young man, born 1990, had been killed and the pistol of «CZ 27» model of 7.65 mm caliber and 3 bullets of 7.65m caliber were found on February 27, 2019 through search conducted in one of the houses of Geghanist village of Ararat province.

A new criminal case was initiated in Abovyan Investigative Division according to the Point 7 of the Part 2 of the Article 35-104 and the Part 2 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code which was joint to the criminal case initiated on 28 year-old man's murder.

On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against the 34 year-old resident of Vanadzor and the 29 year-old resident of Ijevan according to the Point 7 of the Part 2 of the Article 35-104 and the Part 2 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against them.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Measures are taken to find out all circumstances of the case, to find the person having committed the apparent murder.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
