Vehicle “Ural” of military unit N crashed; 1 serviceman died, 6 servicemen sustained injuries
On April 8, 2016 at about 11:00 the vehicle “Ural” of the military unit N of the RA Ministry of Defense swerved on the road to the village of Armash, Ararat region and rolled about 200 meters into the canyon.
There were 11 servicemen in the vehicle. Serviceman Vardan Matevosyan died at the site, 6 of them with different bodily injuries were taken to the medical center of Ararat. There was no need for the other 4 servicemen to be hospitalized.
A criminal case was initiated in the Eighth Garrison Investigative Unit of General Military Investigative Department of the RA investigative Committee according to the Part 2 of the Article 377 of RA Criminal Code, inspection of the site was conducted. Investigation is conducted to find the causes of the accident.
