In the result of investigatory actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case investigated in Gegharquniq Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee murder of 29 year-old Hayk Hakobyan was revealed, the suspect was arrested.
 

It was earlier informed that on January 7, 2017 at about 12:00 in the town of Gavar the person having committed the apparent crime fired shots towards the head and neck of Hayk Hakobyan, born in 1988, who was driving the car of “Audi-Q7” make with plate numbers 47 MM 777. The latter died of injuries he had sustained.
 

A criminal case was initiated in Gegharquniq Regional Investigative Department according to the Parts 1 of the Article 104 and the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code.
 

By the decision of the Head of RA IC Gegharquniq Regional Investigative Department an investigatory group was formed headed by Deputy Head of the department A. Manukyan. An investigatory plan was worked out and necessary investigatory and procedural measures were taken to find all circumstances of the case, to identify the person having committed the apparent crime.  
 

In the result of investigatory actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case the resident of Gegharquniq region Mekhak Harutyunyan was arrested on suspicion of committing the mentioned crime, the later handed the firearm which was the crime tool.
 

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
