Charge pressed for 29 year-old Hayk Hakobyan’s murder in Gavar (added)
Active investigatory actions are conducted in General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee to provide comprehensive, objective and complete investigation of circumstances of 29 year-old Hayk Hakobyan’s murder in Gavar. On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against the resident of Gegharquniq region M. Harutyunyan.
It was earlier informed that on January 7, 2017 at about 12:00 Hayk Hakobyan, born in 1988, with firearm injuries on the neck and head was taken to medical center where his death was recorded.
On the same day a criminal case was initiated in Gegharquniq Regional Investigative Department according to the Parts 1 of the Article 104 and the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code. By the instruction of the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee preliminary investigation of the criminal case is ongoing in the RA IC General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases.
In the result of investigatory actions sufficient evidence were obtained on the allegation that H. Hakobyan sustained firearm injuries at the area called “Qaghari krug” in Gavar, the person having committed the apparent crime fired shots towards the head and neck of Hayk Hakobyan who was in the car of “Audi-Q7” make with plate numbers 47 MM 777.
In the result of measures taken in the framework of the criminal case the person having committed the apparent crime was identified, the crime motive was found.
On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against the resident of Gegharquniq region M. Harutyunyan according to the Parts 1 of the Article 104 and the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code, he was interrogated. The investigator submitted a motion to court to use detention as a pretrial measure against him, it was sufficed.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing, necessary investigatory and procedural actions are conducted to verify the circumstances mentioned in testimonies.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
