30 Year-Old Man Arrested on Suspicion of Stabbing Wife and Neighbor
A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on willful infliction of heavy and medium gravity damage to two residents of Yerevan.
On September 14, 2019 a call was received in Nor Nork Police Division from a citizen informing that in one of the apartments of Sayat-Nova district of Avan husband, under the influence of alcohol, stabbed her and she was bleeding.
A call was also received from “Saint Gregory the Illuminator” medical center informing that 31 year-old female resident of Yerevan with a wound of medium gravity “cut-pierced injury on the upper right part of the chest” and 44 year-old man with heavy damage “cut-pierced injury on the left part of the chest, primary pericardial fibrotic injury, hemothorax on the left, cut-pierced injury on the left part of the frontal part of the abdomen” were taken to medical center.
The investigatory-operative group immediately left for the scene.
On the same day a criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 and the Part 1 of the Article 113 of RA Criminal Code. The persons who had been taken to medical center were found the injured party.
It was found out that they had been caused the bodily injuries during the argument that took place in one of the apartments of Sayat-Nova district of Avan by a 30 year-old resident of Yerevan. The latter was arrested.
A number of investigatory actions, including inspection of the scene were conducted. The knife which was the crime tool was confiscated, a number of persons were questioned.
A number of forensic examinations were commissioned to find out circumstances significant for the criminal case.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
