A criminal case was initiated in Kotayq Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on hindrance to implementation of authorities of chief editor of news site “Araratnews” Alen Simonyan according to the Part 1 of the Article 149 of RA Criminal Code.
 

Chief editor of news site “Araratnews” Alen Simonyan’s report was received in Kotayq Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee informing that on April 12 in the campaign headquarter of the candidate of Mayor of Hrazdan Aram Danielyan his professional activity had been hindered by the head of the headquarter.
 

A. Simonyan told that on April 12 he was in Hrazdan town to cover the election process of Hrazdan Mayor to be held on April 17, 2016 and on the same day at about 18:00 he went to the campaign headquarter of candidate of Hrazdan Mayor Aram Danielyan where, presenting himself as a reporter, he wanted to cover some issues on elections. However he was not allowed to stay in the headquarter, they pushed him out thus hindering the implementation of his authorities.  
 

Considering that in the materials prepared on the base of the report there are apparent features of crime envisaged by the Part 1 of the Article 149 of RA Criminal Code, on April 13 a criminal case was initiated in Kotayq Regional Investigative Department. On the same day the criminal case was sent to the RA Special Investigatory Service according to investigatory subordination.   
 

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
