In the result of urgent investigative and procedural actions conducted in Aragatsotn Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee circumstances of death of the resident of Karbi village were found out.

On November 4, 2022 at 13:20 a call was received from “Ashtarak” medical center informing that 73 year-old resident of Karbi village with numerous bodily injuries, unconscious, had been taken to medical center. On the same day at 15:15 information was received from the medical center informing that the woman had died without regaining consciousness.

A criminal proceeding was initiated and in the result of necessary measures taken within the framework of the proceeding a number of circumstances of causing 73 year-old woman bodily injuries incompatible with life were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is the victim’s son, born in 1979. The latter was arrested on the base of reasonable suspicion on crime committal and was brought to the investigative body.

Through investigation data were obtained on the allegation that 43 year-old man argued with his mother on domestic matters, hit her on different parts of her body causing the above-mentioned bodily injuries.

During preliminary investigation forensic medical examination was commissioned. Pursuant to initial data, the cause of the victim’s death was brain hemorrhages and closed blunt cranial trauma.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
