Within criminal cases investigated in the Investigative Division of Malatia-Sebastia administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee apparent abuses were revealed in Territorial Division of Social Security of Malatia-Sebastia administrative district; charge was pressed against 5 people.

Pursuant to preliminary investigation data money was demanded by separate employees of the territorial division from beneficiaries to do actions within the social assistance program in favor of beneficiaries that is not to stop the provision of benefits envisaged by law.

Two criminal cases were initiated on receiving illegal payment by a public servant. Through investigation of the criminal cases 5 of those having committed the alleged crime were identified.  

On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against two people according to the Part 1 of the Article 312.1 of RA Criminal Code for giving illegal payment to a public servant; charge was pressed against three employees of Territorial Division of Social Security of Malatia-Sebastia administrative district according to the Part 1 of the Article 311.1 of RA Criminal Code for getting illegal payment. They were questioned and gave testimony.

Preliminary investigation of the criminal case is ongoing. Measures are taken to provide the comprehensive, objective and complete investigation, to verify the data obtained on other apparent criminal manifestations.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
