Necessary investigatory actions are conducted in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find out circumstances of stabbing committed in Heratsi Street. Charge was pressed against one person.

On September 5, 2018 at 06:00 a call was received from University Hospital N 1 after Heratsi informing that a young man with a diagnosis of “cut-pierced penetrating wound on the right part and frontal surface of the chest” was taken to hospital. It was found out that the young man had sustained the mentioned injuries during the argument that took place at 10, Heratsi Street.

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. The young man was found the injured party.  

In the result of necessary investigatory and other procedural actions a number of circumstances, as well as the frame of those involved were found out.

Pursuant to initial data, residents of Yerevan – three girls were involved in the argument who hit the injured as well as the latter’s two friends with hands and feet. During the argument over personal matters one of the girls stabbed one of the young men with a jackknife.

During preliminary investigation those involved in the argument gave testimony on the incident. The knife which was the crime tool was confiscated.

On September 14, 2018 charge was pressed against the person having committed the alleged crime according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. Signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against her.

Forensic medical and forensic biological examinations were commissioned to find out circumstances significant for the criminal case.

Necessary measures are taken to personalize the actions of each of those involved in the argument and to give appropriate criminal legal assessment.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
