In the framework of the criminal case investigated in the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Norq administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee the circumstances of the assault committed on December 21 against the employee of patrol station operating on Myasnikyan Street, Yerevan were found, two persons were arrested.

According to the initial data, on December 21, 2015 at about 04:50 at the area of patrol station operating at 20/1 Myasnikyan with the purpose of capturing somebody’s property through banditry, two masked persons armed with a rifle and a knife demanded money from the employee of the same patrol station A. Martirosyan using violence dangerous for the latter’s life and health. Meeting the latter’s resistance they hit the head and different parts of A. Martirosyan’s body with the knife and rifle and escaped. A. Martirosyan, having sustained bodily injuries, was taken to “Saint Gregory the Illuminator” medical center where he died at about 08:00.

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Norq administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Point 3 of the Part 3 of the Article 175, Points 6, 7, 14 of the Part 2 of the Article 112 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code.

In the result of investigatory and operative-intelligence measures taken in the framework of the criminal case, a number of circumstances of the banditry were found, two persons having committed the apparent crime were identified. They are residents of Yerevan born in 1986. On December 24 the suspects were found and arrested.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
