Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on stabbing the store customer by the assistant of the store manager was completed in the Investigative Division of Qanaqer-Zeytun administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

Through investigation it was found out that 42 year-old resident of Yerevan bought a cigarette in the grocery store located in Yan-Raynis Street of Yerevan paying a banknote of 20.000 AMD.

The assistant of the store manager, who was also the store owner’s son, serving the mentioned customer at that moment told him that there was not enough change to return him.

Thinking that the assistant was lying to him the customer argued with him which went on outside in front of the store during which the customer scolded. In response to aggressive behavior towards him, offended by the insults uttered against him, for the purpose of causing bodily damage the assistant stabbed the customer on the left part of the chest with a knife used for household purposes which he had taken from the store causing heavy bodily damage threatening to life.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against the assistant of the store manager according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 (infliction of willful heavy damage to health) of RA Criminal Code. Signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to court.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
