Investigation is conducted in the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to identify those who had attempted to kidnap the minor boy during the protests.

It was earlier informed that on May 5 the criminal case initiated in the police according to the Article 118 of RA Criminal Code on the case of violence used against the minors in Ayvazovski Street on April 20 was received in the proceeding of the RA IC Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department.

In the result of urgent investigatory and operative-searching measures the people having used violence against the minors were identified and on the base of the obtained evidence appropriate criminal legal assessment will be given to the activities of 4 people.

During the comprehensive preliminary investigation it was found that an attempt had been made to kidnap one of the minors who had been beaten. Particularly, in the result of the inspection of the videos it is apparent that near the “Erebuni” museum a car of “Nissan Teana” make with German plate number drove to the minor who was taking part in the protest. Several young men got out of the car, presented themselves as police officers and forced him to get into the car. However, under the unforeseen circumstances they could not complete the crime.

A new criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department on attempt to kidnap the minor according to the Points 1, 4 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-131 of RA Criminal Code. It was separated as a separate proceeding. The relevant subdivision of the police was tasked to take active operative-searching measures to identify those having committed the alleged crime and bring them to the investigative body.

In order to provide the comprehensive, objective and complete investigation of the criminal case we release the video where you can see people trying to force the minor to get into the car. Those who know the people captured in the video or have any information about them are asked to turn to the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.
