Preliminary investigation of the criminal case on violence committed on April 21 in K. Ulnetsi Street investigated in the Investigative Division of Qanaqer-Zeytun administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee was completed on one defendant – Yerevan resident A. Isoyan.

On April 21, 2018 at about 13:30 a number of people arrived in K. Ulnetsi Street in a car of «Porsche Cayenne» make where the protesting people had blocked the carriageway of the road. The people having committed the alleged crime getting out of the car with blackjacks scolded for a long time, hit the cars of «Mercedes Benz», «Niva» and «Nissan Fuga» make with blackjacks. Through preliminary investigation actual data were obtained on one of the people involved in hooliganism; he is a resident of Yerevan A. Isoyan. Pursuant to preliminary investigation data, the latter hit with a blackjack the glasses of the cars of «Mercedes Benz» then «Niva» makes.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against A. Isoyan according to the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 258 of RA Criminal Code. The criminal case on the latter's part was separated as a separate proceeding, preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to court.

Necessary investigatory and operative-searching measures are ongoing within the criminal case under investigation to find others involved in the incident and to give appropriate criminal legal assessment to their actions.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
