Banditry and murder in Tavush
A criminal case was initiated in Tavush Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on banditry and murder committed in the village of Nerqin Karmir Aghbyur.
According to preliminary investigation data on the night of January 24 the persons having committed the apparent crime armed with a knife, with the purpose of capturing someone’s property broke into the lodging place of the resident of the village Nerqin Karmir Aghbyur, Karlen Israelyan, born in 1929, where the latter was with his son Razmik Israelyan, born in 1959, and demanded money. Being refused, the persons, who had broken into the house, stabbed numerous times with particular cruelty at father and son Israelyans. R. Israelyan died of bodily injuries he had sustained in the result of stabbing, K. Israelyan was taken to hospital.
A criminal case was initiated in Tavush Regional Investigative Department according to the Points 1, 3, 4 of the Part 2 of the Article 175, the Points 1, 5, 7, 8 of the Part 2 of the Article 104, the Points 1, 5, 7, 8 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-104 of RA Criminal Code.
Necessary investigatory actions are conducted to find all the circumstances of the case, to identify the persons having committed the apparent crime.
Through inspection of the site samples have been taken and forensic examinations have been commissioned. Working hypotheses have been worked out and the relevant subdivisions of the police have been tasked to take operative-intelligence measures to verify them.
