Investigation is conducted in Aragatsotn Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find out all circumstances of murder attempt committed by brother against sister on December 20, 2021.

The call on the incident was received from the resident of Aragatsotn, born in 1997, who informed that brother had stabbed her for numerous times with a kitchen knife in their house.

Pursuant to initial data, for the purpose of illegal deprivation of sister’s life, 20 year-old young man stabbed her on different parts of her body causing numerous cut-pierced wounds, however he could not complete the crime under unforeseen circumstances as medical aid had been provided to the injured.

A criminal case was initiated in Aragatsotn Regional Investigative Department of the RA investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 34-104 of RA Criminal Code.

During preliminary investigation a number of investigative actions were conducted, among them inspection of the scene during which the clothes the injured was wearing were taken, the knife which was the instrument of the crime was confiscated, forensic examinations were commissioned.

In the result of joint measures taken together with police officers the young man was found and apprehended. The latter was arrested on suspicion of committing murder attempt against sister.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
