RA IC Deputy Chairman, Head of General Military Investigative Department Artak Krkyasharyan paid a working visit to provinces of Syunik and Vayots Dzor to sum up the work done by the Ninth and Eighth Garrison Investigative Units of General Military Investigative Department in 2019.

The representatives of the command staff of the appropriate army corps of the RA Ministry of Defense, Military Intelligence of the RA National Security Service and Military Police of the RA Ministry of Defense were also present at the meetings.

Heads of Garrison Investigative Units presented the work done by the mentioned units in 2019, as well as the structure and dynamics of crimes committed in military units.

The problems in the troops were raised and ways were outlined to solve them. Importance was attached to the role of the investigative body in prevention of crimes, particularly the investigator’s involvement in investigation of motions on conditions and reasons for crimes, as well as lectures held by them in military units.  

During the meeting the dynamics of criminal cases was discussed and A. Krkyasharyan gave specific instructions to raise the efficiency of investigation and to organize the work in a more effective way.

The Head of General Military Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee gave a positive assessment to the work done by the garrison investigative units and at the same time emphasized that they should not be satisfied with what has been achieved and should take measures to raise the confidence level of public towards the investigative body by their everyday work.
