Chairmen of Investigative Committees of Armenia and Russia signed an agreement

The Chairman of RA Investigative Committee Aghvan Hovsepyan and the Chairman of RF Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin on 20 January signed an agreement on creating a coordinating headquarter in order to provide the efficiency of cooperation during the investigation of the criminal case initiated on murder of the Avetisyans committed in Gyumri.
 

The Chairmen of Investigative Committees of two countries highlighted the complete discovery of the committed crime, the comprehensive, complete and objective examination of all circumstances and agreed to implement joint and cooperated activities. During the investigation the implementation of the joint activities will be organized by the headquarter formed by the agreement.
 

10 persons – representatives and criminologists of RA and RF Investigative Committees are involved in the headquarter.
 

The investigation of the criminal case and all the procedural actions will be implemented in accordance with international law, as well as the principles defined by the agreement between the Republic of Armenia and Russian Federation “On issues of legal aid and jurisdiction on location of Russian military base in the area of the Republic of Armenia”.
 

During the meeting the Chairman of RF Investigative Committee A. Bastrykin assured the investigation, preliminary investigation and trial of the criminal case against Permyakov will be implemented exclusively in the area of the Republic of Armenia.
 

During the visit of the Chairman of RF Investigative Committee to Armenia working discussions took place the focal point of which were the issues on the investigation of the criminal case initiated on murder of the Avetisyans and the process of the investigation.
 

On the evening of January 20 the delegation returned to Moscow.
