In the result of investigatory actions of great volume conducted within the criminal case investigated in General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee a number of circumstances of the armed incident that took at “Partez” restaurant complex were found out. On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against 17 persons.

As we have already informed, on January 29, 2019 at about 01:00 there was an argument at «Partez» restaurant complex operating on Arzni highway which turned into an armed incident during which firearms of different models were used. In the result of fired shots 8 persons sustained firearm injuries. One of them - the resident of Abovyan Artashes Gevorgyan, born in 1989, died of the injuries he had sustained. Some days after the incident – on February 10 21 year-old Jivan Harutyunyan involved in the armed incident also died in university hospital N 1 after Heratsi.

In the result of necessary investigatory actions and operative-searching measures conducted within the criminal case the motive of the argument was found out, data were obtained on the frame of those involved in the incident.

Thus, as of this moment, within the criminal case there are 17 defendants. Charge was pressed against 3 of them according to the Article 34-104, the Part 4 of the Article 258 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code. Charge was pressed against 1 person according to the Article 34-104, the Part 4 of the Article 258, the Part 3 of the Article 258 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code. Charge was pressed against 10 persons according to the Part 4 of the Article 258 of RA Criminal Code, against 2 persons - according to the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 258 and the Part 4 of the Article 258 and against 1 person - according to the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code.  Detention was used as a pretrial measure against 6 of the defendants. Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against 1 of the defendants and search was declared against him.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
