Preliminary investigation of the part separated from the criminal case initiated on murder and illegal procurement and keeping of weapon was completed in Abovyan Investigative Division of Kotayk Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

Pursuant to data obtained through investigation, on 23 June, 2019 at about 23:00 33 year-old resident of Abovyan town argued with another resident of the same town for scolding in the yard of a house in the second micro district of Abovyan town. The resident of Abovyan town expressed a desire to meet 33 year-old man to get clarifications, however, seeing that the meeting was not held, he scolded among 33 year-old man’s friends to make his fellow townsman meet him.

On 15 July, 2019 at about 21:00 when 33 year-old man in his car of «NISSAN MARCH» make was at the computer game hall operating in Abovyan town his fellow townsman, scolding, with a knife in his hand approached the hall in order to meet him and 33 year-old man informed his brother about it by phone. The latter drove to the mentioned game hall in his car of «INFINITI FX 35» make.

After a while, for the purpose of illegally depriving the fellow townsman of life the brothers taking an illegally procured firearm went to the playground of a school in Abovyan town where together with a group of people hit the resident of Abovyan on the head and different parts of his body during which 33 year-old man fired a shot towards the latter on the left part of his chest causing bodily injuries incompatible with life.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 33 year-old man according to the Point 7 of the Part 2 of the Article 104 (murder) and the Part 2 of the Article 235 (illegal procurement, transportation or carrying of weapons, ammunition, explosives or explosive devices) of RA Criminal Code. Detention was used as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation on the part of 33 year-old man was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to court.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
