In the result of investigative and procedural actions conducted within the framework of the criminal proceeding initiated on March 12, 2023 in the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on the base of the report received from the patrols of the battalion of Kotayk region of patrol service of the police of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs according to the Part 3 of the Article 452 of RA Criminal Code, among them examination of confiscated videos captured by the cameras fixed to the patrols factual data were obtained on the allegation that on March 12, 2023 at about 20:50 G. Petrosyan did not obey the legal requirements of the patrols of the battalion of Kotayk region of patrol service of the police of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs thus interfering in their service activity. Particularly, in order to force the police officers to refuse document verification, not to pass a sobriety test he threatened them to use violence to cause bodily damage then ignoring the requirements to get out of the car, he drove away from the mentioned place.

On the base of the obtained factual data, a motion was submitted by the investigator to the prosecutor to initiate a public criminal prosecution against G. Petrosyan according to the Part 1 of the Article 452 of RA Criminal Code. The motion was sufficed and today - on March 14 charge was pressed against him.

Absence ban was chosen as a pretrial measure against G. Petrosyan.
