In the result of necessary actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case investigated in Vayots Dzor Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee the real circumstances of death of the resident of Malishka village Vazgen Sargsyan were found. On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against neighbor for murder.

On July 12, 2017 a call was received informing that the resident of Malishka village Vazgen Sargsyan had committed suicide; on the same day at about 17:05 the wife had found his body hung from the metal staple fixed to the ceiling of the basement of their house. .

A criminal case was initiated in Vayots Dzor Regional Investigative Department and necessary investigatory actions were conducted to find all circumstances of the case, forensic medical examination was commissioned. Pursuant to the examination conclusion N 035 the hypothesis that he had committed suicide was denied. According to the experts his death was caused by mechanical suffocation that is V. Saurgsyan's death is a result of violence used against him.

In the result of investigatory and other procedural actions of great volume actual data were obtained on the allegation that on the day of the incident V. Sargsyan argued over domestic affairs with his neighbor during which he was strangled.

Particularly, pursuant to preliminary investigation data, on July 12, 2017 early in the morning from 06:47 to 9:30 the neighbors argued over domestic affairs in the yard of the victim's house. During the argument the neighbor dragged and hit him inflicting bodily injuries then he killed him by strangling him with an annulet. With the purpose of concealing murder the person having committed the alleged crime took V. Sargsyan's body to the basement of the latter's house where he hang him with another annulet from the metal staple fixed to the ceiling to imitate a suicide.

On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against 44 year-old man according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation of the criminal case is ongoing.
