A criminal case was initiated in Gegharkunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on attempt to do violent sexual actions.

On the morning of September 10 at about 01:20 a masked resident of one of the villages of Gegharkunik region using violence against the resident of the same village entered the latter’s apartment against her will where he attempted to do violent sexual actions threatening with a knife used by him as a weapon. Meeting the woman’s resistance the person having committed the alleged crime fled not completing the crime.

A criminal case was initiated in Gegharkunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Point 7 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-139 – attempt to do violent sexual actions using weapon or another item used as a weapon or with a threat to use it and according to the Part 2 of the Article 147 of RA Criminal Code – breach of inviolability of dwelling using violence or with a threat to use violence.

Forensic medical examination was commissioned.

Preliminary investigation is conducted.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
