In the framework of the criminal case investigated in Vagharshapat Investigative Division of Armavir Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee circumstances of sexual intercourse, sexual acts with a 14 year-old resident of Armavir were found out. Charge was pressed against 21 year-old resident.

On November 6, 2018 at 19:00 a report was received in Vagharshapat Division of the RA Police from the resident of Armavir province informing that on the same day from 12:15 to 15:00 with the purpose of marriage the resident of Aragatsotn kidnapped her daughter, born in 2004, and took her to an unknown direction.

A criminal case was initiated in the Police according to the Point 4 of the Part 2 of the Article 131 of RA Criminal Code which was received in the proceeding of Vagharshapat Investigative Division of Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on November 8, 2018.

By the decision of the head of the investigative division an investigatory group was formed and preliminary investigation was conducted. In the result of investigatory and procedural, as well as operative-intelligence measures taken within the criminal case a number of circumstances, the scene of the case were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a 21 year-old resident of Aragatsotn.

On November 9, 2018 the resident of Aragatsotn was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping the 14 year-old girl. The latter was found the injured party.

Forensic medical examination against the 14 year-old girl was commissioned. The initial data of examination conducted by the expert were received.

During preliminary investigation of the criminal case data were obtained on other criminal manifestations by the 21 year-old resident of Aragatsotn, as well. Particularly, data were obtained on apparent sexual acts with a girl under 16, apparent rape committed by the 21 year-old young man. A criminal case was initiated on the mentioned cases according to the Point 3 of the Part 2 of the Article 138, the Point 3 of the Part 2 of the Article 139, the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 141 of RA Criminal Code. A decision was made to join the mentioned criminal cases in one proceeding.

Confrontation was conducted to find out circumstances significant for the criminal case.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 21 year-old young man according to the Points 1 and 3 of the Part 2 of the Article 141 of RA Criminal Code (Sexual intercourse or other sexual acts with a person obviously under 16).

The investigator submitted a motion to court to use detention as a pretrial measure against the young man. The motion was sufficed.

Necessary investigatory actions are conducted to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of the case.

Taking the peculiarities of the criminal case into consideration other information shall not be published. Additional information on procedural decisions made within the criminal case will be provided.

A decision was made to send the criminal case, according to investigatory subordination, to the RA IC Investigative Division of Malatia administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department for further investigation.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
