Investigation is conducted in Dilijan Investigative Division of Tavush Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find out all circumstances of death of residents of Shirak province – spouses in Dilijan town.

On February 12, 2020 at 01:00 a call was received from a citizen in Dilijan Police Division informing that he had found bodies of residents of Shirak – spouses, born in 1993, in the bathroom of one of the houses located in Orjonikidze Street, Dilijan.

A criminal case was initiated in Dilijan Investigative Division of Tavush Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 3 of the Article 279 of RA Criminal Code (Manufacture or sale of goods, or performing work, or providing services which do not meet safety requirements which negligently caused the death of two or more persons).

In the result of inspection of the scene it was found out that a gas water heater was installed in the bathroom.

Relevant forensic examinations were commissioned to find out circumstances of young spouses’ death, necessary investigatory and other procedural actions are conducted.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
